Hi, I am Amanda Hillyard.

I first fell in love with photography when volunteering on the yearbook committee in high school. My dream was to do something in the field of photography, but I struggled to find my way at such an early age. It wasn't until, many years later, when I became a mother that I decided to do more than take copious amounts of pictures everywhere I went just to save them on my computer or in a shoebox. My career as a photographer began. I made many mistakes along the way, but despite my struggles and flaws I had received so much support from family and friends.

I am now a homeschooling mother of four beautiful boys. I took a couple of years away from the camera to be present with my kiddos, but now that they're bigger I am back behind the lens.

I like to combine my interest in nature photography with portraits, showcasing both my clients and the wonderful world in which we live. The incredible diversity of the natural beauty of Algoma is the perfect backdrop!
